Shashi Kapoor dies at 79, film industry mourns for the 'brave producer'
Veteran
performer movie producer Shashi Kapoor, hailed as the "most beguiling,
confounding on-screen character" and "overcome maker" by his
clique individuals, kicked the bucket at a healing center here on Monday.
The
sentimental screen symbol of the 70s and mid 80s was 79. The reason for death
was not promptly known but rather the news came after a time of hospitalization
at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
"Shashi
Kapoor lapsed at 5.20 p.m. on December 4 at Kokilaben Hospital, here," Dr
Ram Narain, Executive Director of Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, told
IANS in a message.
Shashi
Kapoor's nephew and performing artist Randhir Kapoor excessively affirmed the
news.
"He
has passed away," Randhir told IANS.
Shashi
Kapoor made his introduction with Yash Chopra's "Dharamputra" in 1961. He showed up in more
than 150 motion pictures - and 148 in Hindi and 12 in English like "The
Householder" and "Shakespeare-Wallah".
